Description

American Traveler is hiring a DEXA Bone Density Technologist with current, proficient bone density exam experience and active ARRT RT(R) certification for a 13-week day shift contract at a short-term acute care hospital.

Details

  • Short-term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
  • Role is dedicated to bone density (DEXA) scanning — no X-ray duties required
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No on-call, weekend, or block scheduling requirements
  • No floating between units within this assignment; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
  • Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DEXA Bone Density Technologist — experience must be current and proficient
  • Active ARRT RT(R) certification required
  • OBMI licensure required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • This position is for a DEXA Technologist (not a DEXA Technician) — a separate DEXA license is not required beyond active ARRT RT(R)
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Scrubs of any color are accepted
  • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
