Description
American Traveler is hiring a DEXA Bone Density Technologist with current, proficient bone density exam experience and active ARRT RT(R) certification for a 13-week day shift contract at a short-term acute care hospital.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting with 418 staffed beds
- Role is dedicated to bone density (DEXA) scanning — no X-ray duties required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No on-call, weekend, or block scheduling requirements
- No floating between units within this assignment; however, travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state
- Epic EMR — experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a DEXA Bone Density Technologist — experience must be current and proficient
- Active ARRT RT(R) certification required
- OBMI licensure required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- This position is for a DEXA Technologist (not a DEXA Technician) — a separate DEXA license is not required beyond active ARRT RT(R)
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Scrubs of any color are accepted
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
