Job Purpose: The Certified Nursing Assistant/Driver functions in a dual role as a member of the patient care team. As a certified nursing assistant this role performs performing basic caregiving tasks within the scope of certification and demonstrated competence and performs nursing tasks delegated by and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or other licensed personnel. As a driver, this role is responsible for safely operating a vehicle (van or minibus) to pick up and drop off children enrolled in the program.

- Responsible for the supervision and safety of clients in a multi-discipline care setting. Observe client activities and determine when clients are in need of personal care, detect areas of danger, and communicate clearly with clients and staff.
- Performs basic personal care tasks and light housekeeping tasks.
- Provides basic nursing skills and basic restorative services within level of competency and as delegated by a licensed nurse.
- Works collaboratively with childcare staff to meet all aspects of developmental and academic needs of the child.
- Cleans equipment and supplies after use and reports any deficiencies or unsafe equipment to the RN in charge or appropriate personnel immediately.
- Operates Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) vehicles over designated routes or in response to
dispatcher/supervisor instructions. Aid clients when boarding and exiting vehicles. Ensure the safety of all riders by using their appropriate passenger restraining device.
- Comply with all driver and passenger record keeping requirements, including daily driver trip sheets, vehicle inspections, rider pickup and drop-off times, Title XIX (MTM Contract requirements) rider or physician documents plus parent or caregiver correspondence.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure and Credentials: (Where appropriate, education and/or experience may be substituted)
Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Required Experience: Experience with pediatric special needs clients is preferred.
Required License - Certification - Registration: Current WI Nursing Assistant Certification, without limitations. Currently registered on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
Travel Type: Up to 50%
Required Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license
Required Auto Insurance: Vehicle liability insurance in accordance with Agency policy
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must either be CPR certified at hire or complete CPR certification course within 30 days hire. Must maintain active CPR certification through periodic renewal as dictated by the certification.

- Ability to read and understand a map of the PSC service area (Milwaukee County) and utilize navigation tools if available.

Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity, and Work Conditions:
