CNC Machinist (Mill / Lathe)

Location: Sumner, WA

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. DOE ~ SIGNING BONUS AVAILABLE!

SmartHire is hiring CNC Machinists for a growing manufacturing client in Sumner, WA. We're looking for dependable individuals with CNC machining experience who are eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career.

Whether you're already setting up CNC machines or have a few years of operating experience and want to expand your skills, we'd love to hear from you. Our client is willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, great attitude, and reliable attendance.

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
• Perform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes (experience preferred but not required).
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Deburr and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate production documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist wherever needed in the machine shop and continue developing your machining skills.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or machine shop environment preferred.
• Experience operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
• Setup experience is a plus, but not required—training is available for the right candidate.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Own tools are a plus.
