JOB SUMMARY:
The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports the program’s Global team by designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform, with a focus on automation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify automation and process improvement opportunities
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell
Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects
Track and assess the impact of infrastructure changes such as patching and maintenance
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must obtain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) within three months of starting
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix
Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment
EDUCATION: Bachelors with 5+ or Master with 3+ Years of Experience
LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, CO
CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Top Secret (SCI Eligibility)
DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $145,000
