Food Preparation Manager

The Food Preparation Manager plays a vital role in overseeing kitchen inventory, budgeting, and cost control measures.

Our Food Preparation Manager will also play a key role in meeting budget requirements and executing company-delivered programs.

Job Responsibilities:
Capably managing a team and overseeing kitchen functions:
- Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while also training and managing kitchen staff.
- Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards.
The tasks of menu and recipe development encompass the innovative work of designing food selections and crafting culinary instructions:
- Gauge the anticipated food consumption to properly requisition or obtain the required food items.
- Hand-select and develop menu options, as well as standardize production protocols to guarantee dependable quality.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus.
Safety & Maintenance:
- Safeguard the performance of equipment by maintaining and operating it correctly.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations by upholding sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
Through a combination of catering services and culinary guidance, individuals can refine their cooking skills while understanding the nuances of event catering:
- Oversee special catering events while providing culinary instruction or demonstrations as required.
- Assist in the development of junior culinary staff by sharing expertise and culinary techniques to promote their learning and growth.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- An essential requirement is 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role.
- Requires the equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience.
- Although helpful, possessing a culinary degree is not necessary for this position.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of the principles and industry practices that drive success in food service operations.
- Skilled at leading teams and addressing challenges in a dynamic kitchen environment.
- Capable of clear communication through speaking, reading, and writing.
