General Summary
Responsible for designing, creating, uploading and tracking all web-based educational content with e-learning software. Develop correlating training materials, forms and tools. Architect and construct the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage virtual learning environments. Facilitate web-based and onsite training. Update all training material as needed to ensure consistency with HFO culture, expectations, procedures, equipment and policies.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan, research, develop, design, create, test, publish and maintain effective, interactive, easy to understand, user-friendly e-learning training content.
- Training curriculum includes job skills, culture, software and EMR systems, optics, optical equipment, customer service/patient care, insurance information, career development and leadership skills.
- Build, organize, structure, troubleshoot and maintain LMS; (content, courses, learning plans, users and groups).
- Create and distribute practical in-office training and development tools, including all competency lists, observation forms, reference guides, education resources and other documents as needed
- Configure LMS reports, notifications and timelines.
- Report and communicate LMS course completions and progress to leadership.
- Manage HFO SharePoint pages and resources related to training and development.
- Must collaborate, as well as work independently, to develop and maintain beneficial and functional education resources for all team members.
- Track company-wide Performance Management Goals to assess training needs.
- Track all reports related to completion of all e-learning courses and attendance of all offsite and on-site Learn and Grows.
- Responsible for facilitating and attending meetings and workshops related to training and development.
Education/Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in business, healthcare, or employee development required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and SharePoint required.
- Learning Management System or e-learning software experience preferred. Electronic Medical Records knowledge preferred
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality and/or customer service preferred
- Must have the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Must have the ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through speech. Must have the ability to clearly communicate information, ideas, objectives, and goals to others.
- Must use best practice presentation skills to effectively coach different personality types, creating a safe learning environment.
- Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Requires problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy
- Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
- Must be able to walk, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
- Requires local travel.
