Sales Associates

• Base Pay $12.00 / Year

Job Purpose

Black Friday$ Sales Associates perform an important role in the overall customer experience by helping with a diverse set of tasks that may include but is not limited to cashiering, stocking and merchandising products, customer service, sales, cleaning and maintaining the store, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and social media promotional work.

Sales Associates are expected to contribute to a high energy, fast paced environment that provides customers with a friendly and dynamic experience. Associates will typically be assigned a role in a specific area of focus, but this assignment may change by scheduled shift or during a shift. The typical roles are Cashier, Floor Associate, and Warehouse Associate.

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work for extended periods while standing
• Basic Proficiency in Mathematics
• Willingness to be coached, to learn, and to improvePreferred: Retail Experience

Job Responsibilities

• Always represent the store in a favorable manner, in keeping with Black Friday$ Mission, Vision, and Values driving cultural alignment
• Welcome and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
• Assist Customers with inquiries about products, pricing, and store policies
• Follow all established Black Friday$ policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by members of Store Management Team

Cashier Job Responsibilities

• Accurately categorize and count product
• Provide clear count information to customers for each transaction
• Clearly communicate pricing information to customers
• Clearly communicate final sale policy to customers
• Operate Point of Sale Terminal to accurately charge customers
• Collect cash payments and make accurate change, verbally confirming payment and change with each customer during every transaction
• Accurately maintain cash drawer…communicating change needs to on-site management team, performing cash drops, opening and closing drawer in accordance with Black Friday$ policies
• Warmly engage with customers to express appreciation for their shopping with Black Friday$ and/or wish them well upon completion of shopping experience

Floor Associate Job Responsibilities

• Organize and merchandise products in bins, on shelving, and on clothing racks
• Clean and maintain product within bins and other fixtures to remove trash and broken items
• Clean floors to ensure a debris free environment
• Empty trash and recycling bins as needed
• Restock product as needed or directed
• Assist in the closure of sales floor areas to ensure safe product movement

Warehouse Associate Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space
• Track delivery counts, in-store inventory levels, and outgoing shipments
• Move pallets of product as needed or directed to stock, restock, or remove product and/or trash/recycling
• Safely move product to allow for stocking and condensing
