Job Summary

In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-impact, specialized respiratory care within our welcoming Long-Term Care and Sub-Acute unit. Your expertise will be absolutely essential in driving optimal patient outcomes through expert assessment, precise treatment, and comprehensive management of complex, chronic respiratory conditions, helping our patients regain their independence and achieve a higher quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments that truly pinpoint the most effective respiratory therapy interventions for long-term recovery.
• Administer life-changing medications and treatments, including tailored ventilatory support, weaning protocols, and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate seamlessly and effectively with our incredible multidisciplinary team within our Long-Term Care and Sub-Acute unit, delivering consistent, high-quality care.
• Continuously monitor patients' responses to therapies, proactively adjusting treatment plans to achieve the best possible long-term outcomes.
• Empower patients and their families with vital education on respiratory health, treatment options, and practical strategies for continuous wellness.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, reflecting your meticulous attention to detail in all patient care activities.
• Actively contribute to our ongoing quality improvement initiatives, directly enhancing patient safety and elevating our standard of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Proven proficiency in patient assessment techniques and sub-acute ventilatory management.
• Comprehensive familiarity with medication administration protocols relevant to respiratory therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is highly desirable!
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to thrive and collaborate cohesively within a multidisciplinary team.
