Overview

Join our team as a Shop Pipe Welder in Austin, TX, working on commercial fabrication projects in a fast-paced shop environment. We’re looking for skilled welders who can read blueprints, fabricate piping systems, and deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld carbon steel components using Stick (SMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, perform layout, fit-up, cutting, and assembly, and safely operate fabrication tools and equipment.
• Maintain quality workmanship while following AWS standards and all shop safety procedures.

Experience

• Shop fabrication experience working with carbon steel and metal components in construction or manufacturing environments
• Skilled in Stick (SMAW) and Flux Core (FCAW) welding, with MIG/TIG experience and knowledge of AWS standards
• Ability to read blueprints and perform layout, fit-up, and shop math for accurate fabrication
• Experience using fabrication tools including plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, and drills
• Knowledge of rigging, pipe threading, machining, ductwork, and ASME standards
• Forklift operation experience in shop or field settings
