Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need. Assists in the examination of patients under the direction of a physician or allied health professional, and in accordance with M.A. Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques. Responsible for maintaining smooth patient flow by accurate assessment of patients' needs, thorough attention to physician orders and properly scheduling and follow-up of tests and procedures performed on patient. Act as an intermediary between physician and patients when necessary to more appropriately use the physician time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. One (1) year medical group experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Medical Assistant Certification and Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association certification required.
