Medical Support Specialist or Limited X-Ray Technician - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to join our talented team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering top-notch clinical and administrative support to enhance patient care. Key tasks include preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and ensuring meticulous record-keeping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties listed below are representative of the job's expectations and do not encompass all responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned.

• Warmly greet patients as they enter the waiting area, exam room, or laboratory/x-ray room.
• Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient issues proactively and seek assistance during emergencies or hazardous situations.
• Make timely follow-up calls to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
• Accurately gather and log patient vital signs, weights, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers effectively.
• Help with procedures under the supervision of providers.
• Adhere to documentation protocols and complete necessary paperwork related to patient visits.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time employees work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, with 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN (as-needed) staff will be scheduled based on demand.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS Certification

Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant

Preferred: Willing to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License
