Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to join our talented team.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering top-notch clinical and administrative support to enhance patient care. Key tasks include preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Warmly greet patients as they enter the waiting area, exam room, or laboratory/x-ray room.
- Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
- Address patient issues proactively and seek assistance during emergencies or hazardous situations.
- Make timely follow-up calls to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
- Accurately gather and log patient vital signs, weights, medical history, medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
- Assist with patient transfers effectively.
- Help with procedures under the supervision of providers.
- Adhere to documentation protocols and complete necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time employees work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, with 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN (as-needed) staff will be scheduled based on demand.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant
Preferred: Willing to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License

Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas as an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent providers of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our walk-in centers offer a variety of healthcare services including injury and illness treatment, occupational health, and wellness care.
