Childcare Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Woodstock, GA. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. This role involves assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising children, and fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans.
• Supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support children’s social and emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration regarding children’s progress and needs.
• Assist with meal and snack times, including feeding and cleaning up.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA credential or related early childhood education coursework preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Work Environment

This position is based in a childcare center located in Woodstock, GA. The role requires standing, bending, and engaging actively with children throughout the day.
