Role Description The Diagnostic Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lakeland, FL. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic assessments on vehicles using appropriate tools, software, and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing vehicle concerns, running tests, interpreting diagnostic codes, and documenting findings clearly for repair planning. The Diagnostic Technician will collaborate with service advisors and Shop Supervisors to develop accurate repair recommendations, support routine maintenance, and ensure vehicles are safe, and reliable condition. The role also involves communicating test results in an understandable way, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to company and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose automotive issues using diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and test procedures
• Skills in vehicle maintenance, including inspections, basic repairs, and preventive service
• Strong communication and customer service skills to explain findings
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety and quality
• Prior experience as an automotive technician or diagnostic specialist preferred
• Relevant technical certification or training in automotive technology is beneficial
• Ability to work on-site in Lakeland, FL, follow shop procedures, and collaborate within a team environment
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
