Description
The Material Handler plays a key role in our production process by safely moving materials, supporting production lines, and preparing products for shipment. This is a hands‑on role requiring accuracy, attention to detail, and strong forklift experience. Hours: Sunday night 11:00pm - Friday morning 7:00am. Mandated overtime based on business need. $3/Hour shift premium!
Responsibilities
Pull stored materials for orders and move to production or shipping area
Operate sit‑down forklift
Move sheet metal and large finished goods safely
Identify materials using part numbers
Accurately count raw materials and tag materials prior to handling
Supply work area with materials
Perform kitting responsibilities as required
Document information related to material handling of goods
Issue raw material to jobs and perform location transfers in CSI accurately and timely
Other duties as assigned
Ensure clear and clean pathways to and from all outside and inside exits on the production floor daily
Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices
Qualifications
Valid driver license (3 years semi infraction, not revocation)
Certified forklift driver with at least one year of experience
Experience operating LP gas driven forklift trucks
Experience moving at least 1,000 lbs. with a forklift
Ability to operate overhead cranes, bander, shrink wrapper, forklift, tape measures and calipers
Ability to determine material types and gauges
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Perform all duties in conjunction with UA and ISO requirements
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with an assist

Work Environment
