Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our residential community in Florissant, Missouri. This role is key to delivering excellent resident service, maintaining a well-run property, and supporting compliance with Fair Housing and other applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations and management of the property (approximately 250 units).
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective residents and current tenants, responding promptly to questions, concerns, and service requests.
- Support the full leasing process, including:
- Responding to inquiries and scheduling tours
- Conducting property and unit showings
- Upselling available units and highlighting community features
- Assisting with application processing and lease preparation
- Help ensure compliance with Fair Housing and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Accurately enter and maintain resident, leasing, and financial data in Yardi Voyager and RentCafe.
- Monitor property conditions and coordinate maintenance requests with management staff.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal standards are met.
- Assist with vendor and contractor coordination, including scheduling, access, and follow-up on work performed.
- Support rent collection efforts and follow established procedures for late payments, notices, and resident communications.
- Assist with resident communications, events, and other activities that promote a positive, welcoming community.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, hospitality, or a related customer-service-focused field preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with prospective tenants, residents, vendors, and staff.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations; familiarity with Missouri landlord-tenant practices is a plus.
- Experience with property management software; Yardi and RentCafe experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to negotiate and handle difficult conversations while maintaining positive relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
