Cashier/Sales Associate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising to optimize sales potential
• Provide bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or similar fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transaction processing
• Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members and managing daily operations
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interactions with customers and team members
• Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales transactions enhances your ability to excel in this role
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve our diverse community
