Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to support our family owned HVAC company. This role involves managing payroll, accounts payable and providing administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have a strong background in accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and excellent organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Handle data entry tasks and general bookkeeping duties
  • Ensure compliance with bookkeeping principles and maintain proper debits & credits records
  • Provide administrative assistance including document management and correspondence handling

Requirements

  • Proven experience with accounting software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with bank reconciliation
  • Familiarity with payroll processing
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism
