Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $27.00+ per hour (DOE)

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, Swiss-style lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture precision components while maintaining quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, Swiss-style lathes, and other machining equipment
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to manufacture precision parts
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for production runs
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and comparators
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet customer specifications
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program issues to minimize downtime
• Perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and routine machine maintenance
• Document production activities, quality inspections, and machine performance as required

Position Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand English
• Minimum of 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or Swiss-style machines
• Experience machining steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and specialty alloys
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and materials
• Ability to perform machine setups independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and handling of machined materials
• Ability to work safely around machining equipment and moving machinery
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
