Vance Brothers is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager – Products to lead the financial operations supporting our manufacturing and distribution business. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for inventory accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, pricing administration, billing processes, systems optimization, and business performance analysis.
We are looking for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment and has a proven track record of driving financial discipline, operational improvements, and system enhancements across growing organizations.
What You'll Do
- Lead all inventory accounting, costing, valuation, reconciliation, and inventory control activities.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls surrounding inventory and operational financial processes.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service teams to improve profitability and business performance.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Oversee customer pricing administration and billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and enhance financial reporting packages, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level analysis.
- Serve as the Finance lead on ERP implementations, upgrades, and system enhancement projects.
- Drive process automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support acquisition integrations, reporting standardization, and business transformation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting, finance, FP&A, cost accounting, inventory accounting, or operational finance experience.
- Extensive experience with inventory accounting, inventory controls, costing, and inventory management processes.
- Experience working within ERP systems and leveraging financial data to improve operational performance.
- Proven success in fast-paced, high-growth environments with changing priorities and evolving business needs.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial products, construction materials, distribution, or similar operational businesses.
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a private equity-backed company.
- Experience with Vista by Viewpoint ERP.
- Experience developing dashboards and reporting using Power BI.
- Hands-on experience leading or supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, system conversions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with financial reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and reporting automation.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and business transformation projects.
- Prior leadership or people management experience.
- Professional designation such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) strongly preferred.
- MBA considered a plus.

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
