dedicated Staff Nurse (LPN) to make a difference in caring for

patients in our community. Take pride in doing what you love as patients admit

provide compassionate short- and long-term healthcare and specialized medical

support.

LPN Job Summary:

  • Review, communicate and contribute to the day-to-day

functions of the Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Personal Care

Attendants (PCA)

  • Provide medications by mouth, subcutaneous or

intramuscular injections as ordered

  • Complete wound care as ordered to improve skin

integrity

  • Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning

the activities of your shift for continuity of care

  • Communicate with family members of residents as needed

in the event of receiving new orders, a change in condition or a simple check-in

to ensure the resident is safe, well, and content

  • Participate and shine in center surveys (inspections)
  • Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s

discharge plans

  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
  • Chart in electronic files using Point Click Care in an

informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided as well

as residents' responses to care

  • Receive telephone orders from physicians on duty
  • Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment

as necessary

  • Ensure that narcotics are handled in accordance with

federal, state, and local regulations

  • Participate in associate performance evaluations and make

recommendations to the Nurse Supervisor

  • Develop work assignments
  • Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure resident

safety is a Top Priority

  • Meet with the nursing personnel on your shift a

regularly to improve services

  • Administer professional services such as

catheterizations, tube feedings, suction, applying and changing

dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy, and drainage bags, etc

  • Attend and participate in all center in-service

programs as required

  • Maintain professional competence through participation

in continuing education programs, seminars, and training programs

LPN Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current and valid LPN license in the

state employed

  • CPR certification
