Role Description
The Freight Agent Recruiter is a full-time hybrid role based in Houston, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and recruiting freight agents and independent partners to support the company’s logistics operations. Day-to-day tasks include identifying qualified candidates, managing job postings, conducting phone and video screenings, coordinating interviews, and assisting with onboarding processes.

Recruiter will maintain candidate pipelines, build relationships with industry contacts, and collaborate with operations and leadership to understand staffing needs. The role also involves maintaining accurate recruitment records, using applicant tracking tools, and contributing to continuous improvement of recruiting strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably within logistics, transportation, or related industries.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills to engage and retain freight agents.
- Ability to use recruitment tools and platforms, such as job boards, social media, and applicant tracking systems.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple requisitions and deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and freight brokerage concepts is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to collaborate in-office in Houston, TX and work independently from home.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
