The Lead Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing financial processes for large, complex contracts and programs. As a vital member of the program management team, you will collaborate closely with the Program Manager to set and achieve contract goals and objectives while enhancing financial performance. This position requires strong interaction with various stakeholders, including senior technical staff, as well as other functions like Contracts, Subcontracts, Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Procurement. Additionally, you will engage in financial discussions with external clients, including Contracting Officers and Representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial management for large contracts or multiple complex Task Deliverables (TDLs), including cost, schedule, funding planning, and reporting.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and time-phased budgets.
  • Ensure contract setup aligns with all necessary terms, conditions, and requirements.
  • Prepare Estimates at Complete (EAC) and timely submissions.
  • Identify risks, profit possibilities, and conduct analytical reviews in partnership with the Program Manager and other departments.
  • Monitor costs and manpower to ensure compliance with contract ceilings and budgets.
  • Prepare contract variance analysis and monitor subcontractor financial trends.
  • Work collaboratively with procurement and subcontracts to provide funding insights.
  • Lead Internal Program Review (IPR) presentations and compile financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL).
  • Adhere to accounting principles and prepare accurate financial reports.
  • Drive continuous improvements within financial processes and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in project cost control or financial management.
  • Strong understanding of contract types and execution methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Possession of organizational and multitasking skills.
  • High School Diploma required, with a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred.
