Logistics Dispatcher / Broker

ELE Logistics is seeking a logistics dispatcher position to create long-term relationships with customers and drivers. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides day-to-day customer service and logistics support

Tracks and reports the status of shipments

Answers customer inquiries quickly, politely and professionally with a sense of urgency via phone and email

Gathers, distributes, and documents information on shipping activity to keep the entire team up to date

Provides proactive and timely communication of issues found

Evaluates all transportation decisions to ensure the customer and driver is getting the best quality service by providing updates and information prior to them requesting it

Understands the customers’ needs and seek to become their best source for support with transportation needs

Interpersonal and communication skills; works well with team members and is willing to assisting others

Time management skills; is organized and able to establish and follow through on priorities

Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to multi-task

Strong customer service skills

Strong personal relationship and conflict resolution skills

Experience Requirements:

1 to 2 years of relevant work experience; previous transportation industry or inside sales experience preferred
