Detail-Oriented & Dedicated Housekeeper

A Malibu-based family is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to support two private residences operating under one household umbrella. The primary home is a single-story residence near the ocean, where the Housekeeper will work independently managing all cleaning, laundry, and household needs. The secondary residence is a larger, multi-structure family property where the Housekeeper will work collaboratively under the direction of an established Lead Housekeeper. The ideal candidate brings warm, service-oriented energy, adapts naturally between two distinct household environments, and takes genuine pride in caring for a home. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily cleaning, tidying, and organizing across both residences
• Work solo at the primary residence, managing all household needs independently
• Work alongside the Lead Housekeeper at the secondary residence, supporting deep cleans, room prep, and task-based assignments
• Care for high-end finishes, surfaces, and specialty materials with appropriate products and techniques
• Keep all areas guest-ready at all times
• Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, steaming, and careful handling of fine garments and fabrics; specialty items sent out as needed
• Organize closets, pantries, and storage spaces to maintain order and functionality
• Monitor and maintain inventory of household cleaning supplies and essentials; restock as needed
• Sort through pantry items regularly to ensure freshness and safety; dispose of expired goods
• Support the culinary team in maintaining a pristine kitchen environment
• Communicate potential repair or maintenance issues to management
• Coordinate effectively with all team members across both properties for seamless daily operations
• Occasional dog-sitting or overnight stays when the primary family travels (a plus, not required)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience in high-end private homes or luxury hospitality environments, ideally UHNW
• Deep knowledge of best practices in wardrobe care, fabric care, and fine materials
• Excellent working knowledge of cleaning tools, appliances, and products, including eco-friendly and non-toxic options
• Collaborative nature, comfortable working with a team
• Warm, collaborative, and service-oriented with a calm and grounded presence
• High EQ, able to read the room, can flex between more casual and formal household styles
• Trustworthy, discreet, and committed to maintaining strict confidentiality
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities
• Resourceful and able to problem-solve independently
• Physical stamina to work extended hours when needed; able to lift at least 25 lbs
• Comfortable with pets (both dogs & cats)

Location: Malibu, CA (split between two residences approximately 15 minutes apart)

Compensation: 45-50/hr + PTO + benefits package

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am. 4:00pm, with flexibility as household needs shift.
