Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems within commercial and residential properties. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools, and ohmmeters.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of HVAC equipment, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving plumbing, electrical components, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and mechanical systems repair.
- Utilize HVAC design principles to optimize system performance during repairs or upgrades.
- Repair and maintain related mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, valves, and welding components as needed.
- Diagnose complex problems in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems with precision to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, update schematics as necessary, and communicate effectively with clients regarding work performed and recommended solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, building automation systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or boiler licenses are advantageous.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical troubleshooting, appliance repair, property maintenance, and boiler operation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers is beneficial.

Pay: $24.00 - $31.61 per hour
