Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with Labor & Delivery experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 3 trauma center in Washington state.

Details

• Hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 12 L&D beds, 3 ORs, and 2 OB ER rooms in a 388-bed Level 3 trauma center
• Patient population includes high and low risk antepartum, intrapartum, C-sections, emergent D&Cs, post-delivery tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies
• Facility delivers approximately 150–175 babies per month
• Charting performed in Epic
• 12-hour shifts with both day (0700–1930) and night (1900–0730) hours
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No floating or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Tech experience required
• Experience with L&D case types including C-sections, emergent D&Cs, post-delivery tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies required
• BLS certification required
• CST credential required
• Active Washington state license required; candidates with proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior may be considered
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, including setting up and breaking down delivery tables and preparing equipment for processing
• Help stock rooms and maintain supply readiness in the L&D unit
• Hospital-provided dark blue scrubs
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• At least one professional reference from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) is required for consideration, with a second reference required prior to start
