Qualifications:
- Active State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) required
- Experience working in pediatric settings or schools is highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to working with diverse student needs
- Able to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy programs and goals designed by the supervising SLP
- Work with students individually or in small groups, focusing on expressive and receptive language, articulation, and social communication
- Collect data and document student progress in alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in creating engaging therapy materials and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and challenges
- Adhere to all school policies and professional ethical guidelines
