POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) for Business Operations serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to the Business Operations leadership team, with a particular focus on Finance related functions, aligning business objectives with employee and organizational needs. This role provides expert guidance on talent management, workforce planning, performance optimization, organizational effectiveness, and change management to drive business results. The HCBP is a key link between HR and business functions, ensuring HR strategies are effectively implemented across the Business Operations function. This role will work closely with the other HCBPs across the Business Operations Global team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Partnership Human Capital Corroboration

Partner with senior HCBP and Finance leaders to understand business priorities and help align HR programs and initiatives in support of team objectives.

Collaborate with leadership to support workforce planning discussions and talent-related needs.

Work closely with Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Talent Development Culture, Compensation) to help implement HR initiatives and programs.

Talent Management and Workforce Planning

Support talent planning and succession planning for the Finance organization.

Assist in identifying skill gaps and development opportunities, helping leaders strengthen team capabilities and talent pipelines.

Support performance management processes and provide guidance on employee development and career growth conversations.

Organizational Team Effectiveness

Contribute to organizational effectiveness initiatives, including change management, team development, and culture-building efforts.

Leverage HR data and metrics to identify trends and support recommendations for continuous improvement.

Employee Engagement Relations

Support employee engagement initiatives and follow-up action planning efforts.

Partner with Employee Relations and Legal teams to help address employee relations matters and provide guidance to managers.

Help foster a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environment.

Compliance Risk

Support compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR procedures within the Finance organization.

Assist in identifying potential risks and escalating concerns to support timely resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of HR generalist experience, or other relevant HR experience, with a world-class global financial services firm – prior experience with Finance teams preferred

Strong client and commercial focus with outstanding judgement and strong influencing skills

Clear intellectual curiosity with the drive and potential to succeed in a fast-paced work environment, having shown comfort with the ambiguity of an evolving, dynamic firm

Strong execution and project management skills – highly organized, very detail oriented, proactive problem- solver, solutions-oriented, and a knack for anticipating obstacles and addressing issues early

Proven track record of managing simultaneous processes, prioritizing a heavy workload and working across/coordinating among multiple functions within an organization

Self-starter – someone who “rolls up his/her sleeves and gets things done”; has high energy; a strong work ethic; displays the ability to work independently; be creative; and entrepreneurial

Displays maturity, excellent attitude, outstanding judgment, critical thinking, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and

Pragmatic, results-driven and “can do” attitude is essential.
