Position: Respiratory Therapist, Registered (Straight Nights)

Location: St. Paul

Position Overview

Facility: Bemidji Medical Center

Location: Bemidji, MN

Shift: 12‑hour night shifts

Job Schedule: Full time

Salary Range: $32.50 – $44.00 per hour

Sign‑on Bonus: $30,000 for 2 years or $40,000 for 3 years

Job Summary: Respiratory Therapists are integral members of the medical team, providing care to patients across the hospital. This role involves assessment, management, and treatment support for respiratory conditions, and may include work in general floors, critical care, or other clinical areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to prevent, detect, monitor, and manage disease and complications.
  • Measure patient lung capacity to determine impairments.
  • Provide diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on patient analysis.
  • Work in various clinical areas ranging from general floors to critical care.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Care from an accredited program; or equivalent as defined by NBRC.
  • Knowledge and understanding of respiratory procedures, indications, contraindications, hazards, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in computers for patient documentation and data collection for quality care.
  • Current respiratory therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or multi‑state licensure privileges.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with active status per NBRC requirements.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Required site‑specific specialty credential(s) such as NRP, ACLS, PALS, etc.
