Job Overview
We are seeking a bilingual, dynamic and detail-oriented Transportation Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate transportation activities, manage loads movements, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and customers via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
- Monitor fleet management activities, including shipping & receiving, and manage logistics schedules to optimize transportation routes.
- Utilize analysis skills to troubleshoot issues related to freight, delivery delays, or vehicle availability, providing prompt solutions.
- Maintain accurate data entry within systems such as Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), SyteLine, and AS400 for shipment tracking and reporting.
- Support transportation planning by analyzing supply chain data and coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies while managing dispatching tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- experience required with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatching,GPS tracking, and fleet management tools. Additional training will be provide.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle multiple calls using multi-line phone systems.
- Familiarity with logistics concepts such as shipping & receiving, freight management, and supply chain operations.
- Experience in data entry and analysis using Transportation Management, central dispatch or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for route optimization and transportation planning.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with typing skills.
