Title: RRT-NICU
Location: 747 Broadway Seattle, WA 98122
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
For Local Candidates pay rate: $55hr to $57/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 miles radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $69.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2760.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $20.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $800.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1960.00
OR
For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $71.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $2840.00
We are seeking an experienced RRT-NICU to join a fast-paced care team in Seattle, WA. This position offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital environment.
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel assignment in Washington. First-time travelers are welcome! This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Shift
- Night Shift: 3x12-Hour
- Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage: Variable
- Must be willing to float to other campuses as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Washington State Respiratory Care License required to apply
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- NICU experience is required (PICU requirement has been waived by the manager)
- First-time travelers accepted
- EPIC experience required
Required Clinical Experience
Candidates should be proficient in:
- Adult Critical Care
- Emergency Department
- NICU
- Pediatric care
- Pulmonary Function Testing (preferred)
Airway & Ventilator Skills
Experience with:
- Intubation assistance and extubation
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Oral and nasal airway management
- Sputum specimen collection
- Mechanical ventilation management
- BiPAP, CPAP, High Frequency Oscillator
- Ventilator weaning
- Troubleshooting ventilator alarms
- Servo I and Draeger ventilators
Medication & Respiratory Therapy Skills
Must have experience administering and managing:
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent
- Pulmicort, Flovent, Inhaled Steroids
- Nitric Oxide (iNO)
- Mucomyst
- Racemic Epinephrine
- Tobramycin
- Xopenex
- Terbutaline
- Theophylline
- Additional respiratory medications
Experience with:
- Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs)
- Aerosol therapies
- Hand-held, heated, ultrasonic, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers
Required Certifications
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP (Required – candidates without NRP will not be considered)
Facility Details
- Approximately 500 patient rooms
- Typical workload includes 5 ventilators and 6–8 RVUs
