The lead carpenter will be responsible for completing the finishing touches on trim and carpentry work for different construction projects. You may work on a variety of projects, including cabinets, framing, decking, door, window/stair customizations, crown molding, base and trim installations.
Jobsite management
Creating daily reports to document employee and subcontractor work hours
Manage employee disciplinary reports when needed
Oversee extra work management (ticket work, punch lists, changes to drawings, etc.)
Ordering materials
Assisting with installations
Equipment operations
Attend project/foremen meetings
Ensure safety and quality standards are met following USC Builds and OSHA guidelines.
Supervise use of machinery, tools and other equipment
Ensure workforce and material resources are adequate
Ability to problem solve, stay organized and manage time to meet project deadlines
Leadership and communication skills to ensure our projects are completed to quality standards and on time
3-5 years of experience in commercial and multifamily construction projects with drywall, insulation, metal framing and wood stud framing
- Ability to oversee onsite crew sizes of up to 10 workers
- Ability to read blueprints/plans, drawings and knowledge of UL assemblies and specifications
- 25 - $30 per hour based on experience
