Job Description

BIG Los Angeles is seeking a Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator with 3+ years of experience to join our studio in Santa Monica and help support our Senior Project Manager and leadership team on new and ongoing projects. As a Jr Project Manager at BIG, you will help ‘keep the ball moving’ by overseeing a project’s health and progress, draft fee proposals, coordinate consultants, clients, and internal architectural teams in a supporting role.

Job Requirements

  • Familiarity with Los Angeles legislation and building code
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or another adjacent field
  • Architectural licensure in California is a huge plus
  • Minimum 3 years of post-bachelor's degree experience
  • Experience in design and project delivery is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods in California
  • Experience interacting with clients and organizing projects
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and a mastery of organizational and time management skills
  • Report directly to Sr. Project Manager and Partner-in-Charge with routine scheduling updates and planning, design coordination, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to be openminded, take in different ideas and encourage teamwork
  • Desire to constantly self-educate and be hands-on
  • Ability to bring creative solutions to our design work
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager
  • Help maintain communication with clients and consultants
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal team members in drafting fee proposals, NDAs, meeting agendas, summaries, administrative tasks and other resources.
  • Support with research
  • Help monitor project budget, staffing, and scheduling
  • Communicate and coordinate with external and internal team members
  • Experience working with a project team and consultants in schematic design through construction administration

Compensation range for this role is $75,000-100,000 USD, based on relevant skills and professional work experience.
