Warehouse Production Associate
Job Description:
Your role as a Warehouse Production Associate at Aramark involves pivotal contributions to the efficiency and accuracy of product handling, from reception to distribution. You are tasked with pivotal responsibilities such as overseeing inventory management, facilitating order processing, and upholding the cleanliness and safety standards of the workplace.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible, individuals must be 18 years old or more
- Candidates with a high school diploma or GED qualification are favored
- Candidates with two years of experience working in a warehouse are strongly encouraged to apply
- The foundational skills of reading, writing, and math are vital
- Basic computer literacy
- Excellent written and oral communication talents
- Ability to operate tools with skilled manual dexterity
- Fitness to carry up to 50 pounds, involving frequent lifting and transporting of up to 35 pounds
- Applicants may need to have a valid driver's license depending on the location, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) evaluation being conducted
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing still
- Consistent utilization of physical effort in lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling movements
- The requirement for uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be followed without exceptions
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, validate, and designate incoming products; disclose any discrepancies found between the delivered items and corresponding invoices
- Utilize the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) approach to maintain and store perishable goods efficiently and systematically
- Engage in tasks involving the operation or training for the use of manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary
- Compile and coordinate stock to satisfy demands for products, supplies, and tools
- Conduct the loading, offloading, and movement of merchandise within the warehouse or to client sites with the use of carts or powered transportation means
- Complete inventory checks according to the established timetable
- Ensure meticulous completion of documentation duties such as maintaining inventory records, verifying temperatures, tracking spoilage occurrences, and conducting equipment inspections, whether through manual paperwork or digital platforms
- Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of warehouse regions, involving restrooms, break areas, loading docks, and raised platforms
- Adhere to safety protocols, follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, review Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines, and be aware of emergency response procedures
- Make sure to utilize the correct Personal Protection Gear (PPG) where required
- Preserve the safety of both customer and corporate possessions
- Conduct interactions with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors in a professional manner
- Participate actively in meetings and undertake any other duties assigned
