Job Title: X-Ray Technician (Radiologic Technologist)
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11201
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule• Shift: Day Shift (5x8)
- Timing: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation• Travel Candidates: $69 - $70 per hour
- Local Candidates: $54 - $56 per hour
Position OverviewA reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by positioning and explaining the process
- Operate radiographic equipment and adjust settings to obtain high-quality images
- Use immobilization devices and ensure proper patient positioning
- Apply radiation safety measures to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Follow established infection control policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a safe, clean, and effective working environment
Required Qualifications• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain quality standards and patient safety
Certifications & Licensure• BLS Certification (American Heart Association required)
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License (L.R.T.)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification
