Position Type: Contracted Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $40-$55/hour
About the Role:
We are seeking qualified and motivated Special Education Teachers to join a supportive school community in San Jose, California. We currently have two full-time Mild/Moderate Special Education openings serving middle and high school students. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.

Caseload details will be provided during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals while maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies, accommodations, and positive behavior supports to maximize student achievement.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Mild/Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) authorization required.
- Experience in Resource (RSP), Inclusion, or Special Day Class (SDC) settings preferred.
- Experience working with middle school and/or high school students is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education compliance requirements.
