This is a new construction role — no on-call rotation, no after-hours emergency service calls.
About the Role
Betros Plumbing has been building Northeast Florida's commercial infrastructure for 58 years. We're hiring an experienced Commercial New Construction Plumber to install complete plumbing systems on ground-up commercial projects — warehouses, self-storage facilities, hotels, schools, and building shells — from underground rough-in through final trim.
This is strictly a new construction role. You will not be dispatched on service calls, repair tickets, or after-hours emergencies — your job is building systems from the ground up on active job sites, on a predictable weekday schedule.
What You'll Do
- Install underground sanitary, storm, and water piping systems per blueprints and specifications.
- Install above-ground DWV (drain-waste-vent), domestic water, and gas piping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute installs.
- Measure, cut, thread, solder, glue, and join pipe using PVC, CPVC, copper, cast iron, and PEX systems.
- Set and rough-in plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and specialty equipment (grease interceptors, backflow preventers, and similar systems as required by the project).
- Coordinate daily with project superintendents, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades to stay on schedule.
- Perform pressure testing and prepare systems for code inspection and sign-off.
- Ensure all work complies with the Florida Building Code and job-specific plumbing specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of materials used, hours worked, and inspection results.
- Follow OSHA safety standards while working on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, rooftops, and in trenches or crawl spaces.
- Mentor apprentices and helpers on-site as needed.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of commercial new construction plumbing experience — rough-in through trim-out.
- Strong working knowledge of the Florida plumbing code and commercial installation methods.
- Proven ability to read blueprints, isometrics, and construction specs independently.
- Hands-on experience with PVC, CPVC, copper, cast iron, and PEX piping systems.
- Journeyman plumbing license/card preferred; will consider equivalent verified trade experience.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across the Jacksonville area.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders, scaffolding, and in trenches or crawl spaces.
Why Betros

- Company truck and fuel card.
- 401(k) with company match.
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
