Medical Assistant - Certified

JOB SUMMARY

Performs patient care activities as directed by the prescribing Medical Providers, i.e. APRN, PA, DO, MD and or the Chiropractic Physicians.

Job Functions:

• Supports and performs all job duties, according to Joint Commission and Company approved policies and procedures.
• Supports and participates in programs directed at patient and staff safety.
• Considers patient rights, in performance of job duties and complies with HIPPA requirements.
• Observes safety measures in performance of job responsibilities.
• Responds to emergency situations with competence and composure.
• Corrects or reports observed or suspected violations, hazards, and noncompliance, in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, according to the Employee Handbook.
• Maintains and promotes professional competence, through continuing education and other learning experiences
• Attends and actively participates in meetings, committees, in-service trainings, workshops, seminars, conferences and quality/performance improvement activities, according to job responsibilities and requirements.
• Objectively evaluates suggestions or criticisms and attempts to improve performance or seeks further guidance as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
