X-Ray Technologist – Chandler – Up to $30,000 Sign on Bonus

Location

Lexington, KY

Salary

$26.47 – $34.29 per hour. Sign-on bonus available: $15,000 for new graduates (less than one year of experience) and $30,000 for candidates with one or more years of experience, contingent upon a 24‑month employment commitment.

Position Type & Details

Staff, Full‑time, Grade 09. Shift opportunities will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (AS) required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • KY Radiation Operator’s License at time of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification via AHA required within 90 days of hire.
  • Eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) at time of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; working in confined spaces; occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods and performing repetitive motions (such as typing). The role also involves risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials;

exposure to radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood‑borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative or violent individuals.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging to assist physicians in expediting patient care. Duties include performing or assisting in procedures per department protocols; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; utilizing proper procedures for identifying images, patients, and marking images correctly for interpretation; and ordering exams that match the procedures being performed. Customer service is essential; the position will address patient needs across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

The incumbent must meet call back standards established for General Radiology and may assist in QA reviews to maintain professional standards for themselves and student technologists.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Extensive customer service experience.
  • Calm and helpful communication in stressful or crisis situations.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience with PACS and RIS.
  • Desired:

Kentucky State Radiation Certification.
