We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Lighting Assembler / Electrical Assembly Technician to join our production team. This role involves assembling, wiring, and testing complex lighting fixtures while also independently pulling and staging materials required for builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble complex lighting fixtures, including housings, drivers, ballasts, LED components, and control systems
- Perform detailed electrical wiring per schematics, diagrams, and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Independently pick, pull, and stage parts and materials required for assembly jobs
- Verify accuracy of parts picked and ensure all materials meet job requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or assembly issues as they arise
- Conduct functional testing of completed products to ensure performance and safety compliance
- Maintain inventory accuracy by reporting shortages, damaged parts, or discrepancies
- Use electrical testing tools such as multimeters and continuity testers
- Collaborate with engineering, warehouse, and quality teams to improve processes
- Assist in training and supporting less experienced assemblers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, lighting manufacturing, or related field
- Strong ability to read schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Experience with parts picking, kitting, or inventory handling in a production environment
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage and/or line-voltage wiring
- Proficiency using electrical testing equipment (multimeter, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Experience
- Background in lighting, LED systems, or commercial/industrial fixtures
- Familiarity with UL, NEC, or other electrical standards
- Experience in a build-to-order or custom manufacturing environment
- Lean manufacturing or process improvement exposure
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
