Are you an ASE Journeyman Certified Technician looking for the great compensation, benefits, and career growth in the industry? Berman Kia is looking to add a Journeyman technician to the team!

Location: Niles, IL

Job Type: Full-Time (5-Day Work Week)

Pay: $46–$50 per booked hour (based on ASE certifications and manufacturer training)

No Kia/Hyundai Certifications? No Problem. As long as you have your ASE certifications, we provide paid training and manufacture certifications!

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications, including brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel and ignition systems, electrical systems, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and onboard computer systems

Perform advanced diagnostics and complete repairs accurately and efficiently

Utilize Kia/Hyundai diagnostic tools and follow factory repair procedures

Communicate technical diagnoses and recommended repairs clearly to service advisors and customers

Journeyman Technician status or higher required

Strong diagnostic and repair experience across all major vehicle systems

ASE certifications

Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
