Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical infrastructure on construction sites, renovation projects, and ongoing maintenance operations. Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment following industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system performance.
  • Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage circuits to support complex automation and control systems.
  • Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of electrical work during new builds or renovation projects.
  • Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards for all installations and repairs to guarantee safety compliance.
  • Conduct routine inspections on electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur.
  • Assist with schematics reading and framing carpentry as needed for specialized installations or modifications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations for project records.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments.
  • Valid journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage circuits, and NEC standards.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other essential electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces typical of renovation or construction sites.
  • Experience with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
