Position: Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) - $2,546 per week in Alliance, NE

About the Position
This role will evaluate, plan, coordinate, and supervise occupational therapy services for patients in a rural health setting. The OT will work under the occupational therapy practice act and Medicare guidelines. Responsibilities include evidence‑based treatment planning, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, staff supervision, quality‑assurance projects, and community outreach.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, coordinate, administer, and supervise OT treatments to restore functional abilities, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Provide services within and supervise Certified OT Assistants (COTAs) as required.
- Complete comprehensive patient care documentation, including charges, evaluations, daily notes, MC forms, and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members; collaborate with physical therapy, speech therapy, nursing, and physicians.
- Participate in departmental quality‑assurance activities, policy reviews, and supply management.
- Supervise and assess OT assistants and student interns; support recruitment efforts.
- Maintain a safe, efficient work environment; perform departmental cleaning and equipment checks.
- Engage in community events and public‑relations activities to enhance patient outreach.
- Attend clinical meetings and continuing‑education courses as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in the department.
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in the State of Nebraska.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Certified in Physical Agent Modalities (PAM) – Electrotherapeutic, Deep Thermal, and Superficial Thermal Agents.
- Experience working in a rural health setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently, supervise OT assistants, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation skills and adherence to clinic and state regulations.
Onboarding Requirements
- BLS certification.
- Core Exam – Allied/Non‑Nursing.
- Ishihara Color Vision Screening.
- Occupational Therapist Skills Checklist.
- Occupational Therapy Exam.
- Verification of current state license and professional credentials.
- Completion of the employer’s onboarding process, including I-9 verification, background check, drug screening, health examinations, and required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza).
