POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager of Real Estate is responsible for providing a comprehensive strategy across all US Development for all title and real estate related matters during the development phase of renewable energy projects. Requires high degree of knowledge related to the overall US Development Pipeline and Strategic Development Initiatives.
This position reports to the Director of Real Estate, or another management personnel that the President/Senior Vice President of the Company may designate. This position is remote and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 15%.
The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for managing all real estate matters for renewable energy projects
Managing all title matters including preliminary searches, proforma negotiations, and obtaining all required endorsements and policies needed for financial closing.
Manage all title insurance company relationships
Commissioning and reviewing ALTA surveys
Curing all title matters needed for title policy issuance. This includes managing outside resources such as consultants and legal
Lease preparation and review
Execution of lease options and purchase options
Obtain all required easements and crossing agreements with support from project developer
Assist commercial team perform real estate diligence
Assist Finance and legal group on real estate diligence
Prepare real estate data room
Manage all negotiations with the title company
Obtain title policy and endorsements
Obtain all required estoppels, affidavits, or other required documents from debt and equity
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of ten (10) years of real estate paralegal experience or title company experience
At least 8 years of experience with title and survey related work (including review of title commitments, negotiation of title policies and title curative work), leasing, and real estate purchase and sale transactions
Paralegal certificate (or equivalent experience) required
Experience with real estate development projects, specifically renewable energy projects
Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents
Experience in reviewing title work and surveys
Strong organizational, time management, and oral and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of work product
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, depending on the situation
Excellent interpersonal skills

Proficient in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
Requires excellent understanding of legal and real estate vocabulary
Strong organizational, communication and management skills
