Location:

Omaha, NE

Provide educationally related therapy services for a local school district, providing diagnostic and therapy support in both home and school settings. Family centered, culturally sensitive, and occupation based practice is expected and supported by a large staff of therapists. Interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in clinical student training is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnostic and therapy support in home and school settings.
  • Apply family centered, culturally sensitive, and occupation based practice.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in clinical student training.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program for Occupational Therapists.
  • Eligible to be licensed by the State of Nebraska.
  • Eligible for current National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) as a registered occupational therapist.
  • Eligible for current CPR Certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Team player with good clinical observation skills.
  • Creative problem solver able to adapt environments, tasks, and support proposed changes.
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible and able to change priorities with shifting work demands.
  • Strong desire to improve professional expertise and a lifelong learner attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry level OTR degree (OTD, MOT/MST OTR, or BS OTR).
  • One year pediatric/community based school system experience.
  • Strongly prefer applicants who completed a 12 week pre-service fieldwork in a pediatric setting.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook proficiency.
  • Leadership to the professional occupational therapy community at the state and national level.
