Coders must meet productivity and quality standards to meet established month‑end closing schedules. This is a remote position and supports the Akron, OH Billing Center.

Essentials Duties And Responsibilities

Review documentation on patient records and assign ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT-4 codes and physician identification numbers for each patient record Identify errors, problems, or issues and present to Coding management for resolution Complete daily productivity reports Attend departmental and training meetings as scheduled Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications / Experience Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnostic coding and CPT-4 procedural coding Extensive knowledge of medical terminology Typing speed of 35‑45 WPM High school diploma or equivalent CPC, CCS‑p or RHIT certification or eligibility within two years 1‑3 years previous physician coding experi
