Position: Experienced CNC Machinist Starting At 27/hr
CNC Machinist ($24-$27/HR) Job Description
This role involves setting up machines, interpreting blueprints, and using measuring tools to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on experience with mills and lathes and is comfortable working with modern CNC controls in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills and lathes, to produce precision parts.
- Interpret and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and ensure parts meet design standards.
- Perform machine setups, including selecting and installing tooling, work holding, and fixtures for CNC mills and lathes.
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling to maintain quality and productivity.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to specifications, and correct any deviations.
Work Environment
The standard schedule includes approximately three weeks of training on day shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by transition to a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with voluntary overtime opportunities on Friday. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
