Lincoln Energy Solutions is seeking an associate-level Treasury Accountant to join our team at our beautiful and convenient downtown Greenville office. As the Treasury Accountant, you will be responsible for cash planning, managing all bank accounts and registers, cash forecasting, and disbursing all payments for multiple companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all transactions are accounted for per U.S. GAAP.
  • Manages weekly cash flow.
  • Maintains cash financial models for cash flow planning for the VP of Financial Planning and Risk Management.
  • Coordinates borrowing requests, lending, and payment distributions for company credit lines.
  • Performs banking operations including wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany transfers.
  • Manages accounts receivables.
  • Performs daily cash management of the futures hedging account.
  • Participates in annual external audits.
  • Processes checks and cash deposits timely and accurately.
  • Maintains established new customer and vendor set-up procedures and processes.
  • Receives and processes new customer and vendor applications.
  • Communicates with vendors regarding payment status.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and implements process improvements, including the company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and minimizes banking fees; corrects and negotiates fee reductions as needed.
  • Monitors bank accounts and provides daily reports.
  • Automates and implements new banking procedures to achieve efficient payment disbursements.
  • Conducts monthly reconciliation of AMEX statements and other financial schedules to assist with the month-end close.
  • Assists in the process of opening bank accounts and establishes associated services and documentation.
  • Maintains updated documentation of assigned processes and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of direct experience in financial accounting, banking, and treasury operations
  • Thorough knowledge of G/L, A/P, and A/R
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
  • Time and task management skills are essential
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively with minimum supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills; detail-oriented.

Preferred:

  • CPA
  • Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Largely sedentary role in a clerical office setting
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand, as necessary.
